It's been a while since I've last posted anything of note. I spent the summer resting and recuperating. Taking a step back after my exams and everything else helped immensely and I've been doing better overall.
One thing I promised myself is that I'd work on bettering myself and learn new skills. What surprised me is that I ended up gravitating towards 3D modeling. I had no interest in 3D before and preferred drawing art. On the other hand, I'm not that surprised. Building sets was one of my favorite tasks in the past, so the idea of putting something together was very much attractive. I ended up purchasing a few Udemy courses, installed Blender and began my journey.
Most of the lectures so far centered around learning the interface. Coming off Unity, customizing my layout and moving the camera around in an editor felt familiar. One of my challenges was to put something together using basic meshes, so here's my attempt at my first creation:
